In January 2004, the membership of the College of Chiropractors voted to modify the College’s governing documents to allow admission of chiropractors practicing outside the UK to the College membership. The categories of membership available are: Member overseas
Fellow overseas
Note that in exceptional coircumstances, other categories of overseas membership may be offered. Under an arrangement implemented on 7 July 2007, members of COCA (Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia) are also Overseas Affiliate Members of The College of Chiropractors with selected benefits. These members may choose to pursue full overseas Membership or Fellowship as outlined above.
All membership applicants require to be admitted by a resolution of the College Council.
Membership Year
1 October to 30 September.

Current Fees
The overseas membership fee for 2008/9 is £103.Those taking up membership part way through the year will be charged a pro rata fee. Click here to find out how fees are spent.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Overseas Members and Fellows are required to participate in the College of Chiropractors overseas CPD programme. The overseas CPD guide and associated documents can be downloaded from this page (see downloads list above). Overseas Members and Fellows are required to demonstrate 30 hours of CPD per year and returns are due on renewal of membership.
How to apply - new members
Please download, complete and return the Membership Application Form and the Overseas Membership Supplementary Form. Note that your application cannot be considered until payment is received.
How to apply - existing members
If you are a UK member moving abroad and wish to take up overseas membership, or an exisiting Member overseas and wish to become Fellow, please contact College House for guidance.
Once your membership application is received, it will be considered at the next meeting of the College’s Court of Electors. Applicants are informed of the date of this meeting and, within two weeks of this meeting taking place, of the decision of the Committee in terms of the category of membership to which the applicant will be admitted. Decisions of the Court of Electors in this regard, ratified by the College Council, are final.
